October 11th

Today I read Ann Voskamp's blog, A Holy Experience. She sees the beauty in everything, and struggles with the shadows but recognizes the light that makes them.
And I loved being with the preschoolers today. I do love children, so much.
Goodnight.

Just when I think I'm getting it

For me to think that I have anything. That I have anything...anything to offer, anything that is worth something, anything that is good before God. To think that I am anything.
I am the creature.
He is the Creator.
For so many seconds of the day all I think about is what good I can do, and in this is the question "how I can advance myself?" What idolatry! Oh God, forgive me!

Discussing God was tonight. We are talking about the Unchangableness (the Immutability) of God. He is the Rock, and I am dust. Wow.

Another prayer, on my way home from two hours of Discussing God and then two more hours of hearing stories from amazing women who have served all over the world...
"Lord, let me seek you. Help me not to be afraid of losing this "experience", this feeling of joy or love or understanding. Help me to seek you, not these fleeting emotions. I want to experience you and experience a relationship with you."

Where beauty is born...

Beauty is dew on a spiders web,
reflecting the morning light.
Beauty is the hopeful star,
twinkling in darkest night.
Beauty is a sunset, full of glory,
Beauty is a pure love story.
Beauty is in the eyes of a child pondering life,
Beauty is in the sound of forgiveness after strife.
Beauty is when brokenness is filled and made whole,
Beauty is found in the depths of a dark but chosen soul.
